Kevin Oakley is the author of “Presale Without Fail: The Secret to Launching New Communities and Phases with Maximum Results,” Kevin Oakley has more than a decade of experience leading the marketing and sales operations for multiple home builders, including two multi-billion-dollar-revenue. His extensive background and time spent in the trenches gives him a unique understanding of the challenges builders face in today’s market, including launching new communities, increasing lead volume, improving customer experience and building the brand. Bill Rectanus is the Vice President of Homebuilding Operations for New Town Builders, Bill Rectanus oversees its construction, purchasing and customer service departments, and is responsible for the implementation and advancement of New Town Builders’ “High Performance Building Initiative,” along with the research and development of new systems and technologies. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver and as Chairman of the Flatirons Building Council. Rectanus has been a session speaker at multiple industry conferences.
Michael L. Woodley, AIA is the President of Woodley Architectural Group, Michael Woodley has more than 30 years of experience as an architect of all types of homes, from high-density, multi-story to high-end custom. Known for his hands-on approach and interactive design charrette process, Woodley personally leads his design team with a keen sensitivity to project budgets and a retail approach to housing. Registered in eight states, Woodley is a member of the AIA, BIA, and NAHB, and has been a featured speaker at many of their functions, as well as at PCBC. He has judged major design competitions throughout the United States.
Scott Sedam is President of TrueNorth Development, a consulting and training firm focused exclusively on the building industry. Now in its 15th year with a staff of six field consultants, TrueNorth conducts consulting projects and training workshops with more than 200 builder, supplier and trade clients in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Mexico. Sedam is a Contributing Editor to Professional Builder magazine and writes the weekly “Lean Building” blog on www.HousingZone.com. An award-winning writer and editor for more than 25 years, Dersin previously served as editor in chief of Builder magazine and editor of Time Life Books. While at Time Life, she edited, wrote, or researched more than 50 volumes for four of the company’s best-selling series of books.
Tony Mancini is the SGC Horizon Building Group Director-Principal and has launched numerous events and platforms for the residential and commercial construction industry. Prior to founding SGC Horizon, Mancini spent 12 years at Reed Business Information in leadership roles within the residential and commercial markets, including group director for Reed Construction Media, and publisher of Professional Builder and Professional Remodeler. He began his career at CertainTeed Corporation and also served as associate publisher for Sweet’s International at McGraw-Hill.
